Muscat – The Environment Authority (EA) carried out a campaign to plant 5,000 seedlings of mangrove trees in North Batinah on Wednesday.

In a statement issued by EA said, ‘The Environment Authority conducted a campaign in which 5,000 seedlings of mangrove trees were planted in Khor Shinas in the North Batinah governorate, coinciding with the celebration of World Wetlands Day.’

The initiative saw active participation from numerous government and private entities, as well as members of the local community.
