19 Feb 2024 Oman launches 'A House of Wonders' movie

Muscat – The Ministry of Information, represented by Nizwa Magazine, launched the movie premiere ‘A House of Wonders’ at the House of Musical Arts of the Royal Opera House Muscat. The film highlights, in three series, the Omani presence in Zanzibar and East Africa.

The ministry also launched a book documenting the Omani civilisational role in the region.

Friedrich Klutsch, the director of the movies, pointed out that the history of the Omani presence in East Africa is extensive, beginning on the coast of the Indian Ocean and spanning several years.

He said, ‘The more we delve into this history, the more information we uncover.’

The House of Wonders is the main theme of the three movies. Each part of these movies lasts 50 minutes and produced in three languages, namely Arabic, English and Swahili.

The movies emphasise the Omani civilisation’s contributions in the political, commercial, social, and cultural spheres.
