Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested thirty-six people for crossing wadis in different wilayats of Dakhliyah governorate.
In a statement, ROP said, ‘The Dakhliyah Governorate Police Command arrested 36 people for not complying with the instructions to stay away from flooded wadis during the current spell of rains in different wilayats of the governorate.’
ROP referred those arrested to judicial authorities to take legal action against them.
According to Public Prosecution, a three-month imprisonment and a fine of RO500 will be imposed on those who deliberately cross wadis in Oman.
