Muscat – Indonesian cyclist Lintas Negeri is pedalling across the world to spread the message of peace and brotherhood. He embarked on his odyssey from Jakarta on October 18, his final destination is the holy city of Mecca.

Traversing diverse landscapes, Negeri recently cycled through India and is currently exploring the enchanting terrains of Oman. His next stop is United Arab Emirates from where he’ll set off on the final leg of his expedition to Saudi Arabia.

He expects to complete his 8,000km ride to Mecca February-end.

“My mission extends beyond any personal accomplishment. I am driven by a profound desire to advocate for world peace and harmony. The hospitality of Oman and its breath-taking beauty have been a highlight of my journey. Visiting Mecca has been a lifelong dream, and my prayers are dedicated to world peace,” Negeri said.

While the journey has presented challenges, Negeri has found support and help along the way. Like Abdul Gaffar and Mohammad Atif in Oman who helped him navigate to local tourist spots and even shared meals with him. “Their generosity reflects the spirit of friendship that I hope to inspire throughout my expedition,” he said.
