Muscat – H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation with Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye, on Sunday.
The talks focused on Israel’s brutal aggression and illegal siege of Gaza Strip and the danger of escalation in the region as a result.
“We shared our growing concerns at the regional escalations. The case for the Palestinian statehood is non-negotiable and we shall continue working towards it,” H E Sayyid Badr posted on X.
The two sides agreed on the importance of intensifying political efforts at calming the situation, achieving a ceasefire, and resuming humanitarian work to provide relief to the population in Gaza Strip.
The death toll of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip since war broke out between Israel and Hamas in October has passed 25,000, according to Gaza health officials.
