Muscat – The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) has opened the three-star Royal Plaza Hotel to boost tourism .
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Ahmed Musallam al Kathiri, Governor of Al Wusta.
Royal Plaza Hotel has 68 rooms, divided into 26 standard rooms, 14 private suites with two rooms, a lounge, three toilets and a kitchen, and six large standard suites with a room, a lounge, a kitchen, and a toilet.
Younis Khamis al Barashdi, Chairman of the hotel’s board, said “Situated in Saay Commercial District at the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, the hotel is built on a total area of approximately 5,600sqm. The hotel was opened to meet the needs of Duqm’s hospitality sector and accommodation facilities. This, in turn, will help boost tourism and fulfill the growing demand for business in the region.”
