Muscat – The 22nd consultations session between the foreign ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam was held on Thursday in Brunei’s capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Omani side was headed by H E Sheikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, while the Brunei side was headed by Pengiran Norhashimah binti Pengiran Mohd, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations in the fields of economic and investment cooperation and means of augmenting them, especially in the areas of logistics, clean energy, green hydrogen, cultural exchange and educational exchange. They also discussed regional and international matters of mutual interest.

On the sidelines of the visit, H E Harthy met with Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Acting Director of Brunei Investment Agency.

H E Harthy and his accompanying delegation also visited Golden Corporation company, an affiliate of the Oman Brunei Investment Company, which operates in the fish farming field.

Omani’s Ambassador H E Irma Said al Kathiri also attended those meetings.
