Muscat – H E Dr Madiha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, on Monday honoured two Omani students for their achievements in the international academic field.
H E Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary for Education in the Ministry of Education, attended the honouring along with a number of directors from the ministry, the administrative staff of the two schools, and the parents of those two students.
H E Dr Madiha honoured Mohammad Adil al Abdawani from International Muscat School for coming first globally in Mathematics level AS test from Pearson Edexcel for the academic year 2022-23. He also excelled in all school subjects and activities.
Second student Sarah Ali al Shirawi from Al Shweifat International Private School was honoured by the minister for achieving A+ in eight subjects in IGCSE programme and A+ in a number of subjects in Level A programme from Cambridge Institute, besides her excellence in other academic activities in the school.
This event by the ministry was held in continuation of its practice of celebrating Omani students’ academic achievements both in the local and the international levels.
The ministry encourages students to take part in various competitions in scientific, cultural, societal, and sports fields; and motivates them to continue improving their skills and talents to compete with their peers internationally.
