Singapore – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in the Republic of Singapore on Wednesday on a three-day state visit.
His Majesty the Sultan was received upon arrival at Singapore Changi Airport by Dr Mohamad Maliki bin Osman, Minister in Prime Minister’s Office and Head of the Mission of Honour, several Singaporean officials and members of the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Singapore.
The first country in southeast Asia to be visited by His Majesty the Sultan, Singapore and Oman seek to maximise the benefits of their close relations, including initiatives taken by both sides in various economic, political and cultural areas.
According to ONA, statistics indicate total Omani exports to Singapore in 2023 until the end of September was RO521.7mn, while imports amounted to RO54.6mn.
A high-ranking delegation is accompanying His Majesty the Sultan on the visit, including Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large in Foreign Ministry and Minister Plenipotentiary, and Anwar Ahmed Muqaibal, Charge d’affaires of the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in the Republic of Singapore.
