Muscat – Muscat International Airport ranked as the world’s topmost travel hub in terms of performance standards for the year 2023. This was the outcome of a report issued by AirHelp company listing the best global airports, based on on-time performance standards.
The criteria included prompt processing of compensation claims, success in the settlement of customer transactions and other standards.
AirHelp, the world’s largest air passenger rights organisation, has unveiled its annual comprehensive score, offering an evaluation of airports and airlines globally. In this extensive analysis, 83 leading airlines were rated for punctuality, customer opinion and claim processing, using data collected between January 1 and September 30 this year.
Muscat International Airport claimed the top spot globally, followed by Brazilian airports Recife/Guararapes – Gilberto Freyre International Airport and Brasília – Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport climbed 32 positions to claim the fifth spot globally.
This outstanding status was gained by Muscat airport as a result of its continuous efforts to improve performance, coupled with a high level of cooperation between all strategic partners and entities operating in it.
