Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will pay state visits to the Republic of Singapore and Republic of India starting from Wednesday.
A statement issued by Diwan of Royal Court to this effect read as follows:
‘His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will pay two state visits to the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of India with effect from Wednesday, December 13.
‘The two visits reflect the advanced relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the two friendly countries. These also come in response to invitations extended to His Majesty the Sultan.
‘During the two visits, discussions will be held in areas of cooperation between Oman and the two countries. The visits will also explore means of promoting these relations in various spheres to serve joint interests and achieve further prosperity for the peoples of the three countries.
‘During the two visits, His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by an official high-ranking delegation comprising Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Salim bin Nasser al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at Foreign Ministry.
