Muscat – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and the Joint Committee for External Exhibitions of Omani Products (OPEX), has launched the ‘Made in Oman’ campaign.

The event was attended by H E Qais bin Mohammed al Yousuf, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, H E Dr Saleh bin Saeed Masan, Undersecretary of the MoCIIP for Trade and Industry, H E Ibtisam bint Ahmed al Farooji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, and H E Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with several CEOs of Omani companies and factories.

The event included the launch of the ‘Made in Oman’ campaign and the unveiling of the logo for the Omani Quality Mark. It also involved honoring the institutions participating in the ‘Made in Oman’ campaign. Additionally, the inauguration of the corner for Omani products at Al Mouj Muscat took place and will continue until December 8. The campaign encompasses various activities, such as opening corners for Omani products in commercial centers across different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

Furthermore, there will be displays of purposeful designs aimed at promoting national industries at selected locations in Muscat governorate and fuel stations in various governorates. The campaign also includes organising visits for students from schools, universities, and colleges to several Omani factories in various governorates, including North Batinah, Dakhiliyah, South Sharqiyah, and Muscat.

The exhibition comprises three sections: the informative section, which presents information about Omani products and reasons to support them, displaying samples from diverse Omani industrial products through four groups. The interactive section aims to raise public awareness through interactive questions and electronic games, featuring background images of Omani products and competitions related to Omani products. The dialogue sessions section will host local industrial institutions and companies to share their success stories, encouraging entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises to invest in this sector.
