Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call from President Joe Biden of the United States of America (USA) on Friday.
During the call, the two leaders reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the latest developments in Palestine.
His Majesty the Sultan underscored the importance of halting military operations in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, protecting civilians and according top priority to humanitarian aid.
His Majesty the Sultan also stressed the importance of resorting to resolutions of international legitimacy and international humanitarian law, and underlined the Palestinians’ right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
