Rustaq records 44mm rainfall in a week

Muscat – The Civil Aviation authority announced on Tuesday that Rustaq in South Batinah governorate recorded the highest amount of rainfall over seven days from October 24 to 30.

Data collected from the rain monitoring stations from October 24 to 30 showed that Rustaq received 44mm of rainfall, Jabal Shams 38mm, Ibra 24mm, Nakhal 22mm, Wadi bani Khalid 21mm, Al Qabil 19mm, Khabourah 18mm, Quriyat 15mm, 13mm in Bidbid and Bidiyah, 11mm in Samail, 9mm in Diba, 7mm in Barka and Samail, 6mm in Suwaiq, 4mm in Al Hamra and Mudhaibi and 3mm in Amerat.

In its forecast for Tuesday, the Met Office stated, ‘There are chances of convective clouds developing and isolated rain over the Al Hajar Mountains and parts of Sharqiyah governorate towards afternoon.’
