Muscat – Tropical cyclone Tej downgraded into a storm late Tuesday night and is expected to further weaken into a deep tropical depression in the next few hours.

However, its impact will continue until Tuesday evening on Dhofar governorate and the southern parts of Al Wusta governorate, according to the National Committee for Emergency Management ((NCEM).

In statement, NCEM said, ‘The tropical condition is expected to degrade to a deep tropical depression during the next few hours.’

Rainfall of varying intensity and active winds will continue during the day in Dhofar and the southern parts of Al Wusta.
