Muscat – The Ministry of Health (MoH) signed a funding agreement with Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Development Foundation to provide a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine in Sur Hospital.

The signing ceremony took place at ministry headquarters and was signed by H E Dr Hilal Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, and Dr Amor al Matani, Chief Executive Officer of Oman LNG Development Foundation.

This agreement supports objectives of the ministry, aiming to ensure provision of services and decentralisation at the governorates. Additionally, it seeks to reduce waiting lists and referrals for MRIs outside the governorate, thereby accelerating the diagnosis of cases and proceeding with proper treatment.

This cooperation aligns with the ministry’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and enhance the provided healthcare and services, in line with the strategic directions of Oman Vision 2040 to establish a leading health system with international standards.
