Muscat – Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamed al Busaidi, Spouse of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, sent greetings on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day reading as follows:

“I am delighted and honoured to express my pride and appreciation for Omani women who have demonstrated firm resolve to shoulder their responsibilities in shaping family and society, and promoting our dear nation’s glory.

“The influence of women in the national arena is evident. Omani women have taken up outstanding roles in different sectors. Their valuable contributions establish them as essential partners in building our homeland and advancing its Renewed Renaissance.

“On this auspicious occasion, we congratulate ourselves and all Omani women, celebrate their accomplishments and pray for them to pursue the course of success in realising the good of the nation, under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.

“But on this day, we also express our solidarity with our sisters in Gaza and all of Palestine as they undergo adverse circumstances. We salute their stance and steadfastness amid bombings and destruction. We pray to Allah the Almighty to prevent any harm to them and to grant them peace, security and stability. We pray to the Almighty to liberate Palestine so that our sisters there can resume their desired role in nation building.”
