Muscat – An earthquake has been reported in the wilayat of Shalim and Hallaniyat Islands in Dhofar governorate on Thursday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at the Sultan Qaboos University.

A statement issued online by the EMC said, ‘An earthquake struck Dhofar governorate with a 3.3 magnitude, at a depth of 3km, at 9.00am. The epicenter of this quake was about 154km south-west of Haima.’
