Muscat – H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met with Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, on the sidelines of the Joint GCC-EU Ministerial Council held in Muscat on Monday.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed various aspects of their bilateral relations with a special focus on tourism, economy, renewable energy, agriculture and port logistics.

The meeting also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which Landsbergis explained aims to enhance cooperation in the field of tourism. The two sides also committed to study the possibility of launching a direct flight linking the two friendly countries.

“This will contribute to enhancing ties between the two countries through the influx of tourists and businessmen. The relations are witnessing a steady growth in all fields,” Landsbergis said.
