Phase 1 of Sorouh project Al Naseem in Barka complete

Muscat – The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP) has announced completion of the first phase of the Al Naseem project in Barka, part of the Sorouh initiative in South Batinah.

Spread over 350,000sqm, the Al Naseem project is poised to be a notable addition to the region.

Wissama Nasser al Harbi, Director of Integrated Residential Neighbourhoods – Sorouh – Department at MHUP, informed that 10% of Al Naseem’s first phase has been sold out and title deeds of ten properties transferred to owners. “With 220 housing units in this phase, Al Naseem is a cornerstone of the Sorouh initiative and will eventually offer over 1,000 units across its five phases.”

Earlier in the year, MHUP announced two ambitious Sorouh projects in Muscat and South Batinah costing more than RO160mn.

The first, a comprehensive neighbourhood in Amerat covering 445,823sqm with 1,050 housing units with an investment of RO60mn to be developed in seven years in three stages.

The second, located in Halban in South Batinah, spread over 637,044sqm having 1,350 housing units with an investment of RO100mn scheduled for completion in four stages over eight years.

Both projects will showcase a blend of housing styles, including villas and apartments,
and feature mosques, commercial spaces, lush green areas, essential infrastructure and amenities.
