Muscat – The Nafad (Access) platform, adopted by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) to create a talent pool, has attracted more than 2,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and over 4,000 registered individuals
Launched by the authority in February 2022, Nafad is a virtual incubator that attracts specialised national talents in the telecommunications and postal services sectors.
Its aim is to enhance the local added value for these sectors by providing contractual projects, creating a database for companies and national talents, and offering training programmes.
As of now, Nafad has supported around 60 projects and offered five training programmes for various segments of society.
This platform is built upon the idea of creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurial work, empowering SMEs, freelancers, and connecting small and medium-sized businesses with opportunities in the telecommunications and postal services sectors.
Its target audience includes tech companies, freelancers, training institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, and licence holders in the telecommunications and postal sectors.
