Muscat – The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) seized prohibited cosmetic items from shops in the wilayat of Salalah in Dhofar governorate, the authority said.

‘The Consumer Protection Authority in Salalah seized a large quantity of fake items,’ CPA said.

As many as 1,150 banned commodities and cosmetics were seized during the inspection, it added.

The authority confirms that it will follow up and monitor the markets and seize all unauthorised goods, and will take all legal measures against the violators. It also appeals to consumers to report any violations they may notice through the various communication channels.
