Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a citizen and seized over 2,300 packages of khat in Dhofar governorate on Monday.

In a statement issued by ROP said, ‘The General Directorate for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control, led by Dhofar Governorate Police, managed to arrest a citizen on charges of possessing narcotic substances with the intention of trafficking. Over 2,300 packages of khat were found in his possession’

‘Legal procedures have been taken against them,’ it stated.
