Muscat – Dhahirah governorate has issued a call for creative designs that suitably depict the name and theme of the forthcoming Dhahirah Tourism Festival. Both companies and individual Omani designers are encouraged to submit entries that reflect the historical landmarks of the governorate.

An official from the Office of Governor of Dhahirah emphasised the need for a design that has a contemporary flair while honouring the governorate’s rich history. “We’re seeking a design that is not only modern and unique but deeply rooted in the historical landmarks of the governorate,” the official stated.

Entries are required to utilise professional design software to ensure the submitted logo can be easily adapted for different platforms, especially social media. Participants are allowed to submit up to two designs, and the deadline for submission is August 31. The chosen design will be awarded RO5,000.

Shedding light on the broader vision behind the festival, the official said, “Our goal in hosting such festivals is multi-fold: to boost local tourism, spotlight our diverse heritage and augment Oman’s position on the global tourism map. Furthermore, such events support the local community, bolster small and medium enterprises and increase hotel bookings.”

Expanding on the festival’s offerings, the official added, “Dhahirah Tourism Festival will feature a variety of events spanning culture, heritage and entertainment. Attendees can also look forward to unique adventure activities and tourism experiences exclusive to the governorate.”
