Muscat – One worker died and four others were injured in a landslide in the wilayat of Nizwa, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) announced on Thursday.

In a statement, CDAA said, ‘Search and rescue teams of Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority in Dakhliyah governorate responded to a landslide accident involving six workers while they were carrying out restoration process of an ancient building in the wilayat of Nizwa.’

‘The accident resulted in the death of one person who was pulled out from beneath the rubble and four others sustained injuries ranging from moderate to critical,’ it further added.

On Wednesday, one worker died following a landslide while carrying out excavation work in the wilayat of Bausher.
