Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) will launch a traffic awareness campaign from Sunday for visitors in Dhofar governorate during the khareef season.

In a statement issued by ROP said, ‘The Royal Oman Police, represented by the Directorate General of Traffic and the Dhofar Governorate Police Command, is organising the traffic awareness campaign activities for visitors to Dhofar Khareef Festival for the year 2023, under the slogan “Slow down”. The campaign will run until August 3 with the participation of a number of private sector institutions.’

‘The campaign will feature a variety of activities, such as a traffic exhibition at the Salalah gardens mall, traffic competitions, educational and entertaining activities for children in Awqad park, as well as awareness lectures the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center, Omani women’s associations and sports clubs in the governorate,’ it stated.
