Muscat – SalamAir has launched twice weekly direct flights to Almaty, Kazakhstan, using its latest Airbus aircraft.
A statement issued by the budget airline said, ‘SalamAir launched its first direct flight on Saturday to Almaty. The flights will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.’
Capt Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, informed that this destination will be a permanent one throughout the year and is expected to attract many tourists and residents of both countries.
He added that the airline expects to increase the number of flights from the current two in a week in the next stage.
