Muscat – The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has started accepting requests to sell wheat produce of 2023-2024 season to Oman Flour Mills Company. The price has been set at RO400 per tonne and the deadline for applications is August 31.
‘Those (including non-Omanis) who want to sell their wheat produce to the company should submit a request by filling out the form available in the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in all wilayats,’ a ministry announcement said.
As per set conditions, farmers who want to sell their wheat produce must have a valid agricultural property, and the wheat must be of an Omani variety registered with the ministry and produced this year.
Additionally, the wheat should be pure, not mixed with any impurities or other seeds. The farmer is required to personally deliver the wheat to the company’s mill in the Muttrah.
