Muscat – The moon sighting committee of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) announced the sighting of the moon of Dhul Hijjah 1444 AH on Sunday. Hence, Monday, June 19, will be Dhul Hijjah 1, and Wednesday, June 28, will be the first day of Eid al Adha.

On the occasion, MERA congratulated and greeted His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, praying to the Almighty Allah for his good health, happiness and a long life, and progress and prosperity for the Omani people and all Muslim countries.
