Muscat – The body of a citizen who fell from a mountain in the wilayat of Yanqul was recovered on Monday.

A Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) official said, “Teams of the Department of Civil Defence and Ambulances in Dhahirah responded to the accident of a citizen who fell from a mountain in the wilayat of Yanqul. The teams were able to retrieve the body of the man.”

CDAA has asked hikers and mountaineers to register their details on the NIDAA app prior to venturing out on any adventure trip.

In a statement, CDAA said, ‘Before you start your adventure, register the location and the participants on the NIDAA app.’

‘Adventure seekers should take advantage of the app as it is meant to ensure that rescue teams arrive faster in the event of an emergency,’ it stated. The app can be downloaded from  https://t.co/UTfDUsJHUk
