Kyiv – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a written message to President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.

The message deals with relations between Oman and Ukraine and means of promoting these, in addition to issues of common concern that serve international peace and security.

The message was handed over by Ambassador at Large Sheikh Abdulaziz Abdullah al Hinai, when Ukraine’s Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa Maxim Sobh received him in Kyiv on Friday.

Sayyid Asaad meets Zelensky

Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, met President Zelensky on the sidelines of the Arab Summit in Jeddah on Friday.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and developments of the war in Ukraine. They also touched on means of achieving just peace in accordance with the rules of international law, respect for the sovereignty of countries, good neighbourliness, and peaceful coexistence among all states and peoples.
