Muscat – As many as 145 expatriate workers have been deported for violating the provisions of the Labour Law, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) said.
A statement issued by MoL said, ‘The office of the Joint Labour Inspection Team, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, organised an inspection campaign from May 1 to May 10 and deported 145 expatriate workers for violating the provisions of the Labour Law.’
A total of 206 were booked for violations in the same time period. The ministry calls on all employers to adhere to the provisions of the Labour Law.
