EA plants 4,200 wild trees in S Batinah

Muscat – To plant 10 million trees in Oman, the Environment Authority (EA) planted 4,200 wild trees in South Batinah.

In a statement, EA said, ‘The Environment Authority in South Batinah governorate planted 4,200 wild trees in the Iraqi area in the wilayat of Rustaq, as a part of the national initiative to plant 10 million Omani wild trees in different parts of Oman.’

According to the authority, the national initiative for planting 10 million Omani wild trees came after achieving successes in the date palm and mangrove plantation initiatives, and it embodies the partnership and cooperation between EA and different sectors to preserve the environment and achieve sustainable development.
