Muscat – The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) held an annual meeting on Sunday to review the most important achievements and projects and to unveil its upcoming plans and initiatives.

During the meeting, Eng Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Vice President of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, said that RO300mn have been allocated for projects under construction in various areas supervised by OPAZ.

He added that the total usufruct agreements signed during the year 2022 amounted to more than 130, and more than 74,000 workers are employed in the special economic zones and free zones. “The number of existing projects in all zones has crossed 3,000.”
