Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Thursday arrested an expat for smuggling large quantities of drugs into Oman.

A statement issued online by ROP said, ‘The General Administration of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control arrested an Asian for smuggling narcotic drugs in association with international gangs.’

More than 100kg of hashish and quantities of marijuana, crystal and morphine, were seized from the accused and legal procedures have been initiated against him, it added.
