North Sharqiyah – A landslide accident has claimed the life of an expat worker in North Sharqiyah, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) announced Tuesday evening.

The rescue teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in North Sharqiyah governorate responded to a landslide accident report involving two workers of Asian nationality while they were digging a well in a farm in Al Mintreb area in the wilayat of Bidiyah, CDAA stated.  

The authority added that a person was rescued in good health, while the other passed away.

On Sunday, three workers died following a landslide when a company was carrying out maintenance work on the road leading to Wakan village in the wilayat of Nakhal, in South Batinah.
