Muscat – As many as 92 infiltrators were arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for attempting to enter the sultanate illegally in South Batinah and Dhofar governorates on Wednesday.

In a statement, ROP said, ‘Coast Guard Police in South Batinah seized boats carrying 89 infiltrators of Asian nationalities while they were trying to enter the country illegally.’

The Dhofar Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Tasks Police, also arrested three people of Arab nationality on charges of entering the country illegally.

It added that legal procedures have been completed against them.
