Muscat – A total of 811 debtors have been released as part of the Fak Kurbah initiative this year, according to Omani Lawyers Association.

The initiative helps raise funds to pay off debts of individuals serving sentences in insolvency cases.

A statement issued by Fak Kurbah said, ‘We have succeeded in releasing 811 detainees by paying all their financial obligations so far this year.’

The Fak Kurbah initiative has been run by the Omani Lawyers Association since 2012.
