Muscat – The Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs (MERA) has asked the public to look for the moon of Shawwal on Thursday evening, April 20.

The ministry has called on citizens and residents to sight the moon to determine the beginning of the   month of Shawwal 1444 AH this year.

The ministry said the main moon sighting committee will meet on Thursday. In the event of sighting the moon, the ministry has asked people to contact the offices of walis, judges, through the following phone lines 24695551, 24644037, 24644070, 24644015, 24644004, 24694400.
