Muscat – As many as 58 beggars were arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in Dhofar on Monday.

In a statement ROP said, ‘The Dhofar Governorate Police Command arrested 58 beggars of different nationalities.’

ROP earlier had reported arresting 123 beggars from different parts of Dhofar during the holy month this year.

It added that legal procedures have been completed against them.
