Muscat – The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), represented by the Industrial Innovation Academy, have signed a cooperation programme to incubate top student graduation projects and transform these into startups.
The agreement was inked by H E Dr Saif Abdullah al Hadabi, Undersecretary for Research and Innovation, and Dr Ayman bin Abdullah al Fudaili, CEO of Industrial Innovation Academy.
The agreement covers managing and conducting research and projects in accordance with the agreed upon action plan, in addition to supervising and evaluating winning projects. The incubation period extends from one year to three years.
H E Hadabi explained the ministry seeks to empower Omani youth in the knowledge economy through this programme.
