Muscat – The Ministry of Labour (MoL) launched an inspection campaign on Tuesday to monitor implementation of flexible working hours in private establishments in North Sharqiyah.
A statement issued by MoL said, ‘The Directorate General of Labour in North Sharqiyah governorate launched an awareness and inspection campaign to follow up on the implementation of flexible working hours in private establishments, as well as implementation of the provisions of the Omani Labour Law during Ramadan.’
In the private sector, work hours for Muslim workers have been reduced to six hours per day, equivalent to 30 hours per week.
