Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a message of greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. A statement issued by Diwan of Royal Court on this reads as follows:

‘Upon the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, as Muslims all over the globe revel over the blissful onset of the holy month, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has addressed a message of greetings to Omani citizens, residents in the Sultanate of Oman and the whole Islamic nation on the advent of the holy month, praying to Allah the Almighty to accept their fasting, prayers and good deeds. His Majesty also prayed for the return of this and similar occasions while all are enjoying good health and happiness.

‘May the Almighty Allah bestow His plentiful bounties on His Majesty the Sultan and guard him as a treasured source of pride and inspiration to this nation, its citizens and residents!’

His Majesty the Sultan also exchanged cables of greetings on the advent of Ramadan with Arab and Islamic leaders of brotherly and friendly countries.
In his cables, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sentiments along with his best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to them and further progress, prosperity and welfare to their countries’ people. His Majesty also prayed to the Almighty Allah to bestow his blessings on all Muslims, wishing that it will be a month of security, peace and stability.
