Muscat – Forty-four expatriate workers were arrested for violating the Labour Law in two separate incidents in Muscat and South Batinah governorates, according to the Ministry of Labour (MoL).

A statement issued by MoL said, ‘The office of the Joint Labour Inspection Team in Seeb in cooperation with the Muscat Municipality arrested 13 expatriates who sold fish illegally and violated the Omani Labour Law.’

‘The ministry also carried out an inspection campaign in the wilayat of Barka in South Batinah and arrested 31 workers in violation of the provisions of the Labour Law,’ it stated.
