Muscat – The results of the general education diploma (GED) for the first semester for Grade 12 will be declared on Thursday at 3pm, the Ministry of Education (MoE) said.
H E Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education, approved the results on Tuesday, the MoE stated, adding that the students can SMS their exam seat numbers to 90200 via Omantel or Ooredoo to receive the results, and later on the Oman Education Portal.
A total of 51,120 students sat the GED exams from the regular category, achieving a success rate of 80.78 per cent. The success rate for the private bilingual schools was 90.77 per cent out of 1,368 students.
At the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College, 54 students sat for the exams achieving a success rate of 100 per cent. Islamic sciences had a success rate of 98.26 per cent out of 115, whereas 62 students sat for the exams from the GED for special education, achieving a success rate of 90.16 per cent.
The MoE informed that it registered 32 violations during the exams. Students can apply for re-evaluation of up to three papers from March 19 to March 23, 2023.
