Muscat – A low-pressure trough will affect the sultanate resulting in thunderstorms starting Monday night, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) warned.

In a statement, CAA said, ‘Oman will be affected by a low pressure trough on Monday night and Tuesday. The governorates of Muscat, Musandam, North Batinah and South Batinah will be affected by thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by active downwind with chances of cumulus clouds forming on Al Hajar Mountains.’

CAA advised everyone to be cautious during rains and near the overflowing of wadis. All should check the state of the sea before sailing.
