Muscat – A forum to empower rural women and promote their products started in Muscat on Thursday. The forum, which runs till Monday, will highlight methods of production and safety and quality of food produced by rural businesses.

The forum also showcases success stories in fields related to agriculture, livestock and fisheries.
In addition, events in the forum target marketing products of rural women in an effort to increase demand and production.

The event is being held under the patronage of H E Ahmed Nasser al Bakri, Undersecretary for Agriculture in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
