Muscat – Eight expatriates were arrested for violating the Marine Fishing Law in Al Wusta governorate, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR).

A statement issued by MAFWR said, ‘The fisheries control team in the Directorate General of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Wusta, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police, arrested eight expatriate workers for violating the Marine Fishing Law and the Labour Law in the sea off Duqm and seized several fishing boats.’
