Muscat – Revenues of 3-5 star hotels surged by 91.7 per cent till November 2022 to reach RO161.2mn, according to the monthly statistical bulletin of tourism indicators issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The number of guests in the 3-5 star hotels increased by 33.9 per cent till November compared to the same period in 2021, while occupancy rate grew by 18.2 per cent.
The number of guests from GCC states increased till November by 418.8 per cent to 145,192 compared to 27,945 guests during the corresponding period in 2021. European guests recorded an increase of 327 per cent.
The number of Omani guests decreased by 14.9 per cent, from 756,661 at the end of November 2021 to 643,859 until November 2022.
