Muscat – A total of 386 expatriate workers were arrested recently for violating the labour law, the weekly report of the joint inspection team of the Ministry of labour (MoL) revealed.

A statement issued by MoL said, ‘The office of the Joint Labour Inspection Team in Dakhliyah Governorate received 150 expatriates in violation of the Omani Labour Law from various Royal Oman Police (ROP) stations on Sunday. The police also deported 236 labour law violators in November.’

The ministry calls on all employers to adhere to the provisions of the Labour Law.
